ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Albertville Fire Department fought a large fire at B&C Music on South Broad Street throughout the morning Friday.  There’s not much left of the business, sadly.

The store caught fire around 9:15 a.m. and heavy smoke and flames poured out of the business for more than two hours.  Smoke was heavy over downtown Albertville, and police blocked off traffic on Highway 75 until after late in the afternoon.  All downtown roads reopened just before 4 p.m.

B&C had been in the location for several years, and carried musical instruments, sheet music and other supplies.  It was the only store of its kind, residents say.

Some fire units remained on the scene late in the day for cleanup and investigation.
